26 mile road ride

2 Star road ride – steady pace, with some climbs. Suitable for regular riders who prefer a more relaxed pace.

  • Average speed: 10–12 mph
  • Distance: 26 miles
  • Start time: 1:30pm
  • Ride time: Approx 3.5 hours including a tea stop
  • Ride leader: Alison Smart

Route: A mainly flat ride although with three shortish hills. We set off through Brightwell and over Wittenham Clumps to Long Wittenham. We use cycle paths to Didcot and on to Upton, then up Hagbourne Hill to a tea stop at Chilton Garden Centre. We return past the Diamond Synchrotron, over Hagbourne Hill and through the Hagbournes and the Astons.
