Sunday 25th June 8:00am, Oxfordshire Century (100-mile) Ride

Whole day road ride – a challenge, organised by Cycling UK Oxfordshire. Suitable for experienced riders with good levels of fitness and stamina, it will be hilly, long, and ideally enjoyable!

  • Average speed: 10–12 mph
  • Distance: 101 miles
  • Start time: 8:00 am
  • Start location: Wallingford Market Place
  • Ride time: Approx 12 hours including three refreshment stops
  • Ride leader: Steve Swanton

Route: This year’s Cycling UK Oxfordshire Century ride will start from Wallingford and take us through two Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty – the Chiltern Hills and the North Wessex Downs. This is a led ride at a touring pace with tea, lunch and coffee stops along the way; we will aim to cover 100 miles in about 11 hours.

There’ll also be a 50 mile ride, initially following the same route then returning to Wallingford after the morning coffee break.

Note there is free all-day parking in the Goldsmiths Lane long-stay car park behind the Market Place. Please let Steve know if you are planning to join us by Thursday 22 June as we need numbers for the refreshment stops.
